  • Apologies....again

    I'm so sorry I have been AWOL....last Monday was the anniversary of when I was raped and I've been somewhat of a basket case....I'm getting there though and I will get on top things.....I'm so sorry....

  • Challenge catch up time....

    Ok so I knew my travels would impact my updating but I didn't realise how much....however today and tomorrow are bank holidays here so not much going on and should have time to get everything up to date....hope you are enjoying your easter weekend....no easter eggs people....they are evil....lol

    Anyway....I am hear challenge note book in hand working out the week's daily challenges and last week's points....sorry again....

    Please still send me this week's points today and I will aim to have them posted by Tuesday....

    DAILY CHALLENGES FOR THE WEEK
    Monday
      Do at least 45 minutes of cardio....bust out a DVD, go for a run, get on an elliptical or tread mill - whatever your thing is but get it done ladies....you can find some cardio based workouts for free on line I know there are some on youtube etc.

    Tuesday
      Do at least 45 minutes of toning....again pilates, yoga, calinsthetics....whatever your thing is but at least 45 mins....

    Wednesday
      **VEGAN DAY**

    Thursday
      Post an effective exercise or workout on your personal xanga page, with explanatory photos if possible....

    Friday
      Another cardio challenge - this time 1 hour minimum for your 5 points ladies....

    Saturday
      Do something nice for yourself today (not including food)....go shopping, make time for yourself, whatever will bring a smile to your gorgeous face....

    Sunday
     
    Do at least 45 minutes of toning....again pilates, yoga, calinsthetics....whatever your thing is but at least 45 mins....

    I did warn you I'd be crap this week....traveling so unpredicatable....

    Thursday's challenge (which can also be completed Friday since its my fault it's posted so late)....go out of your way to learn something new today....read about something going on in the world....read about the benefits of vegan diets.....read about the life of someone you admire.....something you have to make the effort to find and expand your mind.....

    Friday's challenge.....do something that makes you feel and appreciate being alive....like sitting by the ocean....or something invigorating, exhilarating.....it doesn't have to be huge.....just makes you experience the fact that you are alive and there are bonuses and benefits to that.....

    Both 5 points....

  • Jet lag....[edit]

    Arrived safely in London after a looong journey....will try and get the points posted and such today but no promises coz not sure how long my body will allow me to stay awake....

    The challenge for tomorrow is to meditate for at least 20 minutes preferably more....if you would prefer a guided meditation look on iTunes podcasts or there are some knocking around on YouTube and other places on the internet....

    I will endeavour to post the challenges for the rest of the week as a minimum today....I have my trusty challenge notepad with me so as I head off to get the tube I shall be pondering and come up with them.....

Exercise:

Cardio:
45 minutes to 1 hour: 10 points
30 minutes to 44 minutes: 8 points
20 minutes to 29 minutes: 6 points
11minutes to 15 minutes: 4 points
5 minutes to 10 minutes: 2 points
Anything over 1 hour: 1 extra point for each 15 minutes

Muscle Toning:
31-45 minutes of muscle toning: 10 points
20-30 minutes of muscle toning: 8 points
10-19 minutes of muscle toning: 6 points
5-9 minutes of muscle toning: 4 points
Anything over 45 minutes: 1 extra point for each 15 minutes

Other Exercise:

Pilates:
Over half an hour: 7 points
Under half an hour: 3 points

Yoga:
45 minutes to an hour: 10 points
30 minutes to 45 minutes: 7 points
10 minutes to 29 minutes: 5 points
Under 10 minutes: 3 points

Stretching:
1 point for each 5 minutes.

Certain Food/Liquid Intakes:

4 points for each vegetable eaten
4 points for each fruit eaten
2 points for each glass of water
3 points for each glass of green tea
2 points for each vitamin taken
1 point for each glass of any other tea

Weight Loss:
1 point for each pound lost

Other Positive Points:

Meditating: 1 point for each 10 minutes
Posting daily intake and challenge points on your xanga: 2 points
Supportive comment on another challenge member: 2 points
Supportive comment on your buddy or a group members xanga: 3 points
Getting 6 hours of sleep: 2 points
Getting 7 hours of sleep: 4 points
Getting 8 or more hours of sleep: 7 points
When you're angry or upset or depressed, finding a positive, healthy way to vent your emotion ie. writing, drawing, journaling, reaching out to someone: 4 points
Writing in a Journal/Notebook or writing a journal type xanga entry: 1 point per day
Taking A Nap: 1 point

Negative Points:

Binging: -5 points
Purging: -7 points
No exercise: -2 points
Getting Less Than 5 hours sleep: -1 point

1501-1700 cals: 6 points
1200-1500 cals: 8 points
1000-1199 cals: 4 points
800-999 cals: 2 points
Under 800 or above 2000- No points.


Option B
0 - 300 cals: 2 points
301 - 500 cals: 6 points
501 - 700 cals: 8 points
701 - 900 cals: 4 points
901 - 1000 cals: 2 points
Above 1000 - no points
Fast: 4 points
(can only claim fast points twice a week maximum)
